One city, two faces: modernity and elegance.
Every Hardy thought begins from an espresso cup: a muse for work, relief for the spirit and a concrete memory of Milan.
Identity
Caffè Hardy and Milan: a bond between city and company.
Hardy coffee has followed the memory of the city of Milan. Accompanying generations every day at breakfast at the bar, during quick work meetings, in offices, in Milanese homes.
From Milan we took our pace, quality and precision. Qualities we have expressed in service precision, relationships with venues, and the rhythm of our work.
The Milano blend, ancient and derived from a secret recipe of the founder, still embodies these characteristics today and carries the story of Milan with it. One blend, one promise.

CENTRO STUDI GRANDE MILANO
Caffè Hardy awarded the honour “Grandi Guglie della Grande Milano”.
A coffee with the taste of Greater Milan: creativity, tradition, innovation and humility. The values of Hardy, Il Caffè di Milano.
In 2017, Centro Studi Grande Milano honoured Alberto Maja, third generation of the Maja brothers, with this citation: the founders' enterprise, as owners of a licensed bar in Milan's historic Giambellino district, led them to acquire the Hardy brand in 1954, together with the production plant then owned by Faema (the renowned manufacturer of espresso coffee machines).
Since then, passing from generation to generation, the company has earned the title of Coffee of Milan, reaching the present day through moments of particular success but also knowing how to face difficult times and, above all, preserving intact the very values that made it an excellence in the sector.

Speakers at the event, alongside a large audience, included Daniela Mainini, President of Centro Studi Grande Milano and Regional Councillor for Lombardy, Salvatore Carrubba, President of Piccolo Teatro di Milano and Vice-President of Fondazione IULM, Enrico Valdani, Full Professor of Economics and Business Management at Bocconi University in Milan and Vice-President of the Strategic Committee of Centro Studi Grande Milano, and Giovanna Ferrante, Director of Milanese Stories and Traditions at Centro Studi Grande Milano. Also present were Cristina Tajani, Councillor for Labour Policy, Productive Activities, Trade and Human Resources for the City of Milan, who brought the institutional greeting from the Lombardy Region, and former Mayor of Milan Carlo Tognoli.
IL CENTRO STUDI GRANDE MILANO
The association Centro Studi Grande Milano has as its institutional goal the valorisation of Milanese entrepreneurial heritage that has contributed, and continues to contribute, to making the city of Milan great. Just like Hardy roastery, a business rooted in the territory and an example of values passed down from generation to generation, with determination and enthusiasm, in respect of ethical and human diligence, even before corporate diligence.
